Good healthcare worldwide

In many low- and middle-income countries, healthcare is inadequate. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ’s (German Society for Internatiol Cooperation) global project Hospital Partnerships supports the formation of partnerships in which both sides learn from each other, establish networks and improve their healthcare systems in the long term. To this end, actors from the German medical and healthcare sector join forces with colleagues from the partner countries. They receive financial support for further education and training for healthcare professionals.

Apply for international cooperation

flmh advises and supports the programme in external communication in order to increase the visibility of the Hospital Partnerships and attract potential applicants. The focus is on the mutual benefits of the project. This has proven to be an effective tool in international cooperation – especially in times of crisis and fragile contexts.

Conferences, people, interviews

flmh not only revised the website and added up-to-date content, but also accompanied important conferences live. These included two conferences on German-Ukrainian hospital partnerships, at which a series of interviews were conducted with high-ranking representatives from the healthcare sector and politics. Participants included the then Development Minister Svenja Schulze, the then Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, the then Ukrainian Ambassador and the then Deputy Ukrainian Health Minister. The documentation of the conferences was made available in German, English and Ukrainian.
