Strategy
For a sensible use of taxpayers’ money
Taxes are one of the most important resources for states to promote the common good – from the expansion of the school system to the healthcare system to rail transport. The Network of Tax Organisations (NTO) is an international network of regional tax organisations with 180 members. One of the NTO’s aims is to redesign tax systems in such a way that they lead to greater distributive justice. In particular, the sustainability goals of the 2030 Agenda are to be supported through better use of financial resources.
The role of the NTO
The NTO provides a platform on which financial administration experts can exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of sustainable development and learn from each other. To this end, flmh developed a communication strategy and an implementation plan. First, flmh, the NTO Secretariat and representatives of the member organisations determined the strategic starting point for communication: the positioning and function of the NTO. Based on this, flmh drew up the platform implementation plan.
An international network platform
The implementation plan contained all the necessary steps on the way to the platform: from organisational and technical processes to the development of standards for knowledge products. In addition, flmh made recommendations on formats and channels for internal and external communication. The result is a central platform for employees in financial administrations around the world that contains the offerings of all tax and financial organisations with regard to their specific questions and needs.
